After all, we all need to be entertained….

This phrase was the reasoning behind Nicci And Lee’s decision to start up Free Ticket Giveaway. Why not give everyone the option of being able to do what they want, when they want. Tickets are the obvious answer. You can choose what you want (dependent on your interests,) and then choose when you want to go.

Welcome to Free Ticket Giveaway

You have 25 chances to win EACH and EVERY MONTH, and even if you don’t win, or you can’t wait to see if you have won … we will still give you ideas of where to go for your tickets (normally at cheaper prices than you would normally pay). THOUSANDS of families, festival goers and friends enjoyed the amazing first night of the Sydney Festival 2010. It was on for young and old! The crowds were huge, the smiles were beaming and the atmosphere was jovial. The 9 hours were nothing short of WOW! The amount of entertainment and activities that Sydney had on offer for everyone, all for free, was nothing short of amazing. Go Sydney!

The program started at 2pm through to 11pm (officially – but there were a few parties to attend after if you desired!)

My day started of with checking out the Bollywood style dancing early evening at Hyde park before a short walk away to the circus. Just across the park the circus was entertaining the families with wire walkers, see saw jumpers and half naked men showing off their very toned bodies! They certainly did not need to make a diet resolution this NYE! The acrobatics were nothing sort of amazing and the comperes had everyone laughing right from the start…

We then wandered down to the Hyde park barracks and saw 30 saxophonists having a ‘band off’ with a Scottish bagpipe band. Yes, seriously. Scottish bagpipes had a go then over to the saxophonists to beat it… It was talented, amazing and really pretty funny!

Then after seeing a acrobatic performer take to the skies in a helium balloon touching the hands of people at street level, and then rising to the height of taller buildings we strolled onto the domain to see soul music star Al Green, in his first Australian live performance. He was amazing. Everyone was clearly there to have a dance and a good time. The music was soulful and the couples were swinging together to ‘Lets Stay Together ‘with chilled out happy grins on their faces.

Looking up at the building across the road from the Domain, where the handpuppet man had previously been performing his skills to the audience on the face of the massive building, you could see another camera view of centre stage meaning that wherever you were in the park you wouldnt have missed a thing.

Sydney Festival First Night

A great job to the festival director. Amazing night – cant wait for the rest of the program.

The Sydney festival is running until the end of January. Take advantage and dont miss out.
