A Valentines Day Story

February. Love is in the air, so to speak. Every 14th of February, most countries are celebrating Valentines Day. During my grade school years, February is always one of my exciting months second to Christmas holidays. I remember in art class working on heart-shaped, cotton-laced and glittered V-Day red cards as part of our project. Back then, I remember our teacher instructing us to prepare a small note on our hand-made card to anybody we wish to give it to. At the end of the class, everyone gets a star for doing a job well done. The best works will get a space on the bulletin board posted along the school hallway. I can still recall how every student would decorate their classrooms for Valentine’s Day. It’s just so nice to see how “ the love” month can influence creativity among the innocent ones.
